The League of American Bicyclists is promoting Bike-to-Work Week 2010 from May 17th-21st and Bike-to-Work Day on Friday May 21st.

As children we remember the first time we ventured out on our bikes without our training wheels. The bumps, bruises, and occasional broken bones from a wipe-out. Not to mention the sensory experience of feeling the fresh air on your skin, the sights, and the smells of the area. No matter what your age, get back on your bike and take to the trails or roads.

On Friday, May 21st, leave your car at home and bike to work. If you live too far from work, promise yourself to dust off the pedals and don your helmet for a morning or evening jaunt. Not only is it good for your health; biking to work can save you money and reduce carbon monoxide, improving our environment.

Check out www.bikeleague.org for information about National Bike Month and Bike-to-Work Day. Find us on Facebook and let us know about your biking experience.
