To say it’s been an interesting year would indeed be the understatement of 2020. We began with such high hopes but things turned out much differently than most of us expected. Every cloud has a silver lining, and this particular thunderhead is no exception. So what can we say we’ve learned from this memorable year?
· There’s always a bright spot, however hidden. Businesses that have found it impossible to grow in one direction are now able to flourish in another. Online shops have appeared or expanded by leaps and bounds. Social media has broadened this opportunity even further as many businesses have moved their scope almost exclusively to various and collective platforms. This, in turn, alters the landscape for business insurance, so be sure to ask your agent how this confluence will affect your business.
· Wake up calls are not always a bad thing! From increased awareness to extreme measures, we’re learning to fall somewhere in the middle and take the precautions that offer the best protection for our individual needs. This can be applied to choosing the best type of insurance as well, so ask your agent about any changes or adjustments that you might need to make to your policies.
· Let go of the reigns. If we’ve learned nothing else, we’ve learned that many occurrences are simply beyond our control. The best we can do is to roll with the punches and prepare for the unexpected. As a very fundamental principle of insurance, this is also an excellent reminder to the uninsured or underinsured to discuss individual insurance needs with one of our agents.
· Life goes on. Tomorrow we’ll wake up and face another day and hopefully, it will be better and brighter than the one that came before it. That’s our collective hope for 2021, but as the new year unfolds, we can also take measures to protect our loved ones. Life insurance is one of the best ways to achieve this, so remember to ask your agent about life insurance this holiday season.
Contact our agents at Harleysville 215-723-9805 or Perkasie 215-257-9171 to discuss how you can improve or enhance your insurance portfolio. As always, be safe and enjoy the holiday season. From all of us here at The Weimer Group, happy holidays and a bright and happy 2021!
