None of us likes to be stranded by a broken-down car. At best, it’s inconvenient. At worst — depending on the time of day or night, the weather conditions and the location of the breakdown — it can be downright dangerous. (We don’t want you to end up in that scenario, but if you do, we want you to have help at the ready.)

ERIE is enhancing after-hours road service so Customers can receive immediate, direct assistance. Currently, Customers make their own arrangements for road service and submit a receipt for reimbursement.

Customers now have two options when calling after hours (weekdays from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and all day during weekends and holidays). After ERIE verifies coverage, Customers can do one of two things:

  1. Make their own arrangements for service and then submit a receipt to their Agent for reimbursement.
  2. Be transferred directly to ERIE’s road service program provider, Cross Country Automotive Services (CCAS), the largest network of independent road service providers in the nation. CCAS will dispatch assistance to the Customer. (If insufficient or no coverage is available, the Customer can pay CCAS directly by credit card.)

CCAS will bill ERIE directly for the assistance provided. ERIE will send a letter to the Customer within a few days to advise that the service was paid for under the Customer’s coverage.

The Weimer Group is proud to represent Erie Insurance.
