What type of coverage do you need?

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Many dedicated dental professionals, educators, and healthcare providers will go above and beyond to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, parents, and teachers. This year’s slogan is “Defeat Monster Mouth” which will encourage kids to fight against plaque by brushing, flossing, and eating healthy snacks. Many people don’t realize how important the health of little teeth is. The leading chronic infectious disease among children in the US is tooth decay.

·Make regular dental visits
·Use creativity when brushing
·Toss the sweets – for children two and older, parents need to be aware of the impact that nutrition and eating/drinking habits have on oral health.
·Children two and older should use fluoridated toothpaste to help prevent decay as their teeth continue to develop
